What is Tong Jyun?

Tong Jyunis also called as Tangyuan, it is a delightful traditional Chinese dessert, consists of glutinous rice formed into balls and served in a warm broth or syrup. These delectable treats come in various sizes, ranging from a marble to a ping pong ball, and are sometimes filled with delicious ingredients. Enjoyed during the Lantern Festival, Tangyuan is also a symbol of unity and wholeness, making it a popular dish at weddings, family gatherings, Chinese New Year, and the Dongzhi festival.
